Two full syphons into Reef Mat 1200

Has anyone run 2 full syphons into a 1200? If so, how and has it worked out well?

I have a 125 that has 2 separate overflows. This tank will not be high flow at all.

Did you "T" both drains into one or hooked each drain to each (right and left) inlet on the 1200.

For reference so I don't get people who aren't familiar with what I have I'm including a pic as an example. I have TWO of these on the tank. One on the left side and one on the right side. In each overflow one is an open and one is a full syphon. The two opens will justbe placed inside the sump.

Into both sides of the Reefmat for a sump serving a 125g. I would probably try to either connect the two drain pipers together into a T and run through one side of the Reefmat but that sort of defeats the purpose of having two drainpipes to some degree.

Alternatively you can have one pipe run into the Reefmat and one into the sump without mechanical filtration. That unfiltered water will still be treated by your protein skimmer and any other systems you have in your sump. The Reefmat can only process a certain max flow of tank water. With this setup you can run your return pump higher than the T setup above.

Make sure the Reefmat sits at the proper height otherwise it will burn through too much fleece.

Doesn’t really change the thinking much: If you have the room you can connect to both sides of the Reefmat. If no room then T together the drains or leave one which bypasses the Reefmat. Look up the maximum flow rate the Reefmat can process and plan accordingly.

yeah the pump is rated at 3100gph @0 head. Its a cheap jaebo or whatever so I doubt even that is accurate.
So I will defiantly fall under the 2300gph once i add plumbing/fittings7UV and height.
It is also DC so i can slow it down if need be.

The limiting factor is the Reefmat itself. If you push too much flow into it will eat up an abnormally high amount of fleece roll which can become expensive. I doubt that will be an issue with your size tank though.
