Ultra Reef and Aquarium Specialities

I have a 180 UKS and absolutely love the skimmer and design of it. Built like a tank and so much easier to clean and maintain than anything else I have owned.

Not the case wit the algae scrubber, I had a pump failure within 6 months of buying it new and was told to by their importer Aquarium Specialities that the pump was discontinued and good luck finding a replacement. The one year warranty is worth nothing if Ultra-Reef designs a tank of a scrubber around a pump that is prone to failure and no other pump will fit in the location.

The scrubber is a UAF-003, just looking to see if anyone else has a solution to this issue as the unit worked awesome but now just sets on the shelf

That sucks. I've been told the UltraReef skimmers were phenomenal, but that's really disappointing about the lack of spare parts. My Nyos is still plugging away 2 years on now without issue...

Yeah, I would never buy anything else from them because if they make a design flaw and use a poor quality product that was not manufactured in house you’re SOL. The importer also, would never think of buying anything else there and I purchased about 3k worth of stuff from there and they were no help at all
