For sure! Yes, I looked around for a while till I found this one. Time pays offLooks great. you did exactly what I always say. A little time looking around pays off. Looks like that is a Marineland 90 reef ready. If so new would probably be 1200-1600 or more. Keep us posted.
Haha! I’m sure you can get something. Craigslist, OfferUp has tons of good and cheap equipment.Nice. You got yourself a good tank for a really good price. I wish I could find good deals like this. But I never seem to, and when I do, I am broke. Following.
Coral and FishNice budget build. Fish only or coral/fish?
That’s the theme! I’ve seen so many tanks above 1k, 2k... I was wondering if I could pull of something way below.Build looks real promising. It’s cool to see a decent sized reef held to a budget!
For sure!Nice steak you got on that tank. I’m sure you’ll be upgrading and doing more things with it
Thank you! any suggestions on how to reduce microbubbles?Congrats on the new tank!
2 things I wanted to mention is I’d get a RODI not an RO. I’d also get all new bulbs in your T5 as you don’t know how old they are and you can customize your spectrum to your liking. I’d also keep an eye on those power heads as others have mentioned.
There’s portable rodis all it is a faucet attachment like a garden hose, DI take out TDS and TDS will kill your corals. You need to produce 0 tds at all times. I would look into a tds meter and look at your local water reports. Glad to hear about the lights, I run Radions as well. Can’t go wrong with T5 though!Hi! thank you for the suggestions. The lights were only 3 months old as the guy upgraded to rations. I got a portable RO as I wanted to connect it to a faucet (no plumbing). I do agree I wish I could go for an RODI but I guess anything is better than de chlorinated tap water haha.
