Underwater wigglers: What kind of worms do you have in your aquarium?

Some worms are problematic like flatworms, some worms are helpful like feather duster worms, and others are a bit of both such as bristle worms. Some are harmful to corals, and some can be harmful to you. A finger full of bristle worm bristles will get your attention and interacting with a fireworm is definitely worse, however both of these worms serve utilitarian purposes by effectively eating detritus and left over bits in the tank. Although flatworms are general not desirable in your tank, some of these other worms are acceptable in small amounts. What kind of worms do you have in your aquarium? Let us know if you have any memorable experiences or tips to deal with these invertebrates.

I only have feather duster.
I never wanted any other worm in my tank and I am proud I managed to keep it this way.

I’m a fan of some types that don’t cause harm. They help keep balance in the aquarium (CUC) and are also food for some of the fish / creatures. They have been well managed by the fish I keep so they don’t get out of control

I have a large feather duster that somehow made its way to the back of the rock scape. I added bristle and spaghetti worms a few months ago but have yet to see them.

They’re probably under your rock work. That’s where most of mine are.

I have bristle worms, spaghetti worms, spirorbid worms, feather duster worms, even a spionid worm that lives in my green digitata.

They’re all great CUC members. Well, maybe not the spionid but the others definitely are.
