On 11/18/19 one of the two clownfish we have in our nano tank started to act differently. Nothing has changed in the tank in the last month since having them.
Parameters:
Temperature - 78.3
Salinity - 1.024 PPT
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 2 ppm
PH - 8.2
Symptoms:
- Heavy breathing
- Staying in the bottom corner
-Loss of appetite
- Twitching of body
- Smaller fish is very protective and hovers around the bigger fish.
We have performed a FW dip as we thought it could be velvet or Brooklynella. But the fish still does not have a coating on its body or mucus around it’s gills. In the dip there were no flukes, or anything for that matter. It was only on the first day it looked as if her skin was dry. But, The fish looks completely normal now besides the behavioral symptoms. We were hoping to find some more information before we decide to do either a formalin dip or a copper quarantine. We have added a skunk cleaner shrimp just in case it is some sort of parasite. We have searched every resource and forum on the internet to try to make an informed decision, but I cannot find anything that might help.
