unknown thing on my rock

i got this live rock about 2 months ago and i’ve recently started to notice this reddish thing growing off it it idk if it’s some macro algae or maybe a pest

Interesting. I will be following along. My guess would be some kind on softie, maybe a ruby red Xenia, but it looks much different ?
