Does anyone have the UNS mini refugium light? I’m considering getting one but wanted to see how others liked theirs. What settings do you use and recommend for it?

I'm not familiar with the light but wanted to mention pretty much any cheap grow light will grow chaeto if that's your intention. I used cheap LED grow lights at $10 each and lit mine from 3 sides and was harvesting almost 1/2 of a 5g bucket each week.

I wanted one because it would fit in my refugium and is water resistant, but could not find one in Canada, so went with the tunze one, which is submersible. It’s working well so far, and if I recall correctly around the same price?

I have it in my R75. It’s got 8 settings which is nice. I think the debate is still ongoing as to which lights are best per algae species. I have Atomic Broccoli and there is literature saying the red/blue combo works well while other data shows the white to encourage growth as well.
My issue right now is trying to figure a good way to keep the algae clumps from cramming up against the baffle leading to the return pump chamber.

DONT BUY IT! i'm on my second light in one month. The first one came defective. The LED's on the second one stopped working in 7 days.... Also, the magnetic is not strong enough AT ALL. For $80 I'm super dissapointed. I contacted UNS but havent heard back.

Thanks for the honest feedback. I may look into some other refugium lights
