As many may have read, there was a recent discovery of a sea monster with 20 arms and a body that, curiously enough, bears a slight resemblance to the fruit- strawberry. (see article link below). Over the last decade, there has been numerous discoveries of bizarre looking creatures discovered and studied and now this one.

This brings a good question:
What is the most bizarre creature or hitchhiker you have discovered in your tank or even at a pet store? (Post pics if you have any)

For me, an Abalone and horseshoe crab were the most Bizarre in my tank.

Mine has to be a flashing tilefish, I’ve never had a more bizarre fish.
This thing displayed colours within the blink of an eye (literally, one blink and it’s a newly coloured fish!).

Had a chiton, that sadly passed away just last night, after 7 years lurking in my system. Only discovered him just about 2-3 years ago, so going off the date I last introduced any LR.

Curious thing, like a snail but not a snail. Not even a hard shell, but instead its malleable like old heavy rubber.

Cool! I have a chiton story that I won't delve too deeply into here... found a tiny one at about 1.5 year mark that no potential source makes sense to me,,, now there's like 20 visible at any given time of various (larger) sizes.

Nothing in my tank approaches weirdness like in post #1 but I did keep bioluminescent bacteria for a few months in a dark environment with UV on-demand quite some time ago.
