Hi, I’ve done a thorough clean up of it and I pulled out everything sponges out. I’m running it empty of any media and it has been silent (only made one noise and that’s it) the whole night. Because of this, I’ve lost a few milliliters of water in my tank and my salinity dropped from 1.024 to 1.023. I haven’t done the leak test yet. My question is : will it be fine running it without any media in it or should I put some in? I’ve been running it without any sponges to see if it would be the cause of the loud noises. I looked at everything last night on my canister filter as well.

My not so crafty brain made this with a bubbler and filled it with my filter media in it and my cheato rizome in there since I keep losing it all the time. It’s just a breeding box that I wanted to use for acclimating my saltwater fish before adding them to my tank. I could definitely use it for something else if needs be. I suck a building things for my tanks and that photo proves it.
