I am having trouble setting up my apex to Wi-Fi. I’ve been bashing my head in for the last two days. I have made sure my Wi-Fi is on 2.4Ghz and when I go into my phone and try to connect to “Apex setup” I get “unable to join this network”. I have held the reset button down for 30sec and the light turns orange/red but stays that color. I’ve also tried to unplug it and still nothing. Even the direct connecting to router isn’t working. Any advice please? The outlet bar will stay orange but occasionally blink a few times

I think the 30 second reset is to reset to factory.

To put in to wifi access mode you hold that same button for 6 seconds, which should turn the unit blue.

It was finicky for me though.

When I hold it for 6-seconds it flashes different colors and the light turns off. I’ve got a solid blue light and the apex setup is showing up on my phone but I am unable to connect to it, even with Ethernet cable to router

Did the person you bought it from disconnect from his Wi-Fi/system?
Oh yeah, I had that issue too. After you do get past this wifi access piece, if its still "attached" to the previous owner they need to release that so you can register it for yourself.

I don’t think so, is here any way around this?
I had to contact him, and he removed himself from the account. If whoever you got this from won't do that I do not know how much luck you'll have pleading with Netpune support, but that will be your only route.

I reached out to the previous owner but I’m not sure he is going to do it 100%. I’ve put the apex in factory reset and the light turns solid orange but stays solid orange

getting the reset button in that 6 second range, and getting the apex to turn blue was what got me over this.... I was wracking my brain, the apex was orange, and that was never getting it done. Since you've factory reset it, I'd power it down, back up again, and after a few minutes I would try the 6 seconds reset and get it to turn blue.

Try searching it here on the forum.
I seem to recall that issue before but it was a few years back. Neptune wouldn't help unless, don't quote me, you had his credentials and a letter? Or something saying he sold it.
Not sure, as I said, it was years ago.

I used the second set of instructions here when I bought my used Apex and was able to use Fusion just fine without the previous owner removing the Apex from his account:

So I’ve set the apex into reboot mode (holding down reset for 30sec) until the light turns red/orange. How long does it take for the light to go back to blue (Wi-Fi mode)? It’s been sitting with the orange/red light on for close to 15min

That's so frustrating. It should be pretty quick. I found two threads on R2R with the same problem, but neither OP reported back with answers :/

So I am trying again this morning and under the “Apex setup Wi-Fi” this is the ip address and sub I get. Does this look right?

Is that your address?
My address as in homes address? This is what pulls up on my phone when I click on “Apex Setup” Wi-if I went into details to show the IP address the apex is showing. I am just curious if this looks right. Sorry I’m not sure if this is going to help or anything I’m just trying to get this thing working.

I figured if I type in the IP the apex is giving me it should send me to the setup page but nothing
