Hello, thank you in advance for any help!

I just bought a used tank stand and has had a tank on it for about 5 years.

Unfortunately there was another board on top of the base of the stand and some water got to the side of the panels.

I just want an opinion if I should just go ahead and reinforce it/make a new stand/or make sure to just seal it properly with primer/paint/varnish.

The finish doesn't look too great, but it does not seem to be swelling from water damage, not that i notice.
what size tank is going on it? You could always just put some weight on it (sit on it) to see how it holds up...:thinking-face:

If it were me, I would just make a new one for piece of mind, however if not swelled, Just refinish it.

It would be a 75gal with a canopy. I just want to make sure that everything is okay as I have never done anything like this and want to make sure things should be okay in the end

IMO, Tank looks structurally ok.
BUT, for piece of mind, spend $20 in lumber and re-inforce if you want......
