Ushio 20k bulb

Has anyone used the Ushio 20k 250watt mogul bulb if so what did you think

I have used them for several years and like them for a single light source. However given choice I prefer MH with Fluorescent supplementation in which case I use Radium 20K with actinic.

Oh i love the Radiums but my ballast will not run them so iam looking for the next best looking bulb. I have the south pacific sunlight 20k now but i want to try something diff.

I thought you were going to bite the bullet and get some radiums and new ballasts.:bigsmile:

I have seen some nice pics with people using helios 20k try to find out something about them. I think pnoyreefer has shown some pics under helios bulbs maybe pm him and find out if your ballast will fire them.

I think the Ushio bulbs are awesome. I used the Moguls for several years.

Just had to remind me Bamachamp that i was going to bite the bullet didnt you!!:squigglemouth: No i still havent ruled that out iam getting ready to order this month i had to get a ring out of the way its been 6 yrs and she was on my back but if the Ushio was close to the radiums that would save me from buying ballast
