Hey everyone! So does anybody have experience using a cheaper salt when quarantining new fish? I’m currently in the process of stocking my 125g and using TTM for all new fish, thus I’ve been burning through a lot of salt. Been using Salinity which is what I use for my DT and it’s not the cheapest salt. So I was wondering if it’d be okay to use something cheaper like regular instant ocean or something like that during qt. Would I need to re drip acclimate when transferring to the DT even if salinity and temp match perfectly? Thanks!

Absolutely:) since there are no coral that require major minor or trace elements using a more cost effective salt for quarantine would work :) just make sure salinity matches as not all salts take the same amount to equal the same salinity :)
