@PedroYoung FWIW, I run my UV channel at 90% for most of the day on my Hydra 26's. I have 3 26's above a 75 gallon tank. I have no problems with coral burn. I think in the Hydras, the white channel is what produces the chance of burning corals, if you really crank the whites they put out a lot of PAR.

Do a search on the Red Sea recommended setting . If I recall they max out all Blues and UV and run the WRG @ 24%. Or maybe its 16%. I am using a G4 XR30 on a JBJ 45 at about 8 inches AWL and max out all blues and UV. This is on a all SPS tank.

My whites are a little lower than their program cause I prefer I little more blue/purple look and I believe the whites will burn them if too high. I might be wrong about that but my acros and sps love this set up.

Yes, but you can also run the white when you are working and then turn them off.

Agreed, but they seem to like the consistent spectrum as of now. Plus they’re growing fast enough for me. My acros seemed to struggle when the spectrum was changing like that.

I know this is an older post but I have found running uv and Purple and full output can cause sps to have less polyp extension. I had many that would not open like before after adding on an additional hydra 25 hd so now I have 3 on my 30" x 24" x 22" tank and I lowered the uv and Purple from 118 to 90 for the UV and 105 for the purple and raised the next two blues to max at 75. The corals are colored up more and more polyp extension as well in a weeks time. I suggest being careful with uv specifically. I did the same for a clients tank and his corals are opening more then and they are lps.

That is not what I have experienced in my tank with all my hydras.

They look great but I have 3 x26 9" above a 63 gal tank that is 30"×24" and 22" deep with a pr of stunner strips on both sides kind of like a hybrid system diy version but with blue LEDs instead of t5. Ur lights are x2 the height of mine practically that can also be part of the reason why ur not having these issues but within a week of doing so I've noticed new extension and color.

I’m very interested in your diy hybrid. Please post a pic if possible.

I have a prime 16-9” above a 6g side tank and again, I haven’t had any issues with the UV or V burning acros

From the looks of ur schedule ur not leaving them on for prolonged amounts of time. Mine were on full blast from 10 am til 8 pm the ramp down. Urs go up and down. Only my white red and green did that but the top 4 colors stayed the same now I changed it. U kinda get the idea l post a better one tomorrow.

Thanks for the pic. Your corals look great so I wouldn’t change anything.
