So today I was finally able to find the right pump for my uv sterilizer. All the other ones were running to fast but this one seems good. I have the pump in the middle part of my sump and the output hose in my return chamber. I hear this is a good way is that correct? Would it be normal for the middle part to drain bc of the pump but will water still all be going thru uv. Basically I have 3 parts of sump. First part skimmer and everything else. Overflows from baffle to middle section which just has uv pump. Then a high low baffle into return chamber. The high low baffle fills up and appears to maybe overflow a little back into middle part. Kind of the only way I can figure it out. Is it still effective this way? And also will the hose in return affect my ato at all when I adjust it back. Thanks

Depends what you're using it for, but that sounds like it should be acceptable.

For acute needs (an outbreak of something), you can consider moving it (at least the inlet and outlet) up to the display tank.
