Looking for a good and popular sterilizer. I have the Red Sea Max e260 with upgraded sump. I know some think they are a waist of money. I happen to think not. So no need for negative responses.Thanks. If you non believers have one for sale I may be interested.

I really like the Lifeguard Aquatics Pro-max series. I have a 55w on my 125 and then a 120w on my 450. They are built well and have great quality for the price. Also liveaquaria has all sizes 50 percent off! You cannot beat that! Plus you could get a 15-20 percent off code to get even more savings.

I have the DD 20w UV-C which is big enough for the E260

I certainly don’t think there a waste of money at all, and apart from buying it and changing the bulb once a year I can’t see any down side only good

I run mine 24/7 and wouldn’t be without one in a reef tank

Which Aqua UV are you talking about. I'm actually considering the 24 watt Green machine.

I have the 24 watt aqua uv, but be aware the 24 watt aqua uv is not equivalent to the 24 watt green killing machine. Both the green machine, coralife, and jebao use a power compact bulb, so their wattage seems higher than it actually is in comparison to the aqua uv, vecton (possibly what I would get if re-purchasing), or pentair units. I would highly recommend one of the last three as they have a great bulb, great build quality, good body dimensions for the wattage.

Looks like aqua uv requires hard plumbing. Right?
Mine is hard. But it’s not required. You can put whatever fittings and plumbing that makes sense to your system.
