So I am starting to work out getting water in my reefer 170 and for the return pump I purchased a RO Varios 2 DC return pump. It claims to have 1/2" - 3/4" stepped barb fitting but not sure what planet they were on when they created these as it appears more like 3/4" - 7/8". Am I missing something here? The 5/8" ID tubing that comes with the 170 does not fit unless heated and I hate that method as when plumbing works, it works and shouldn't take that kind of effort.

Anyone here have similar issues? It's entirely possible I don't know what I'm talking about but something seems off here.

A lot of times they're talking about inside diameter and outside diameter. Just take the barb to your local Home Depot and size up the correct tubing (I like the braided version).
