Vinegar Dosing?????

I just tested my aquarium and everything is with in good perameters except nitrates. They are registering between 20 and 30 ppm. I've heard about vinegar or vodka dosing. Any advice on this?

my tank is 26 gal. and has been running for ten months. I have been fighting nitrates since about 3 months. If this isn't the solution I am open to suggestions.

How about a protein skimmer, refugium, and once a week 10% water changes? Alcholhol and vinagar will lower ph and starve your tank.
