Mouth to mouth and tourniquet did not help.

Sorry for your loss

@Crabby48 Is your pinkspot territorial?

Sort of. He can be tolerant but will ram them away open mouth. The only fish he has no patience for is the Melanurus.

Goby was eating from my hand when the Melanurus took the opportunity to go in the pistol cave. Never thought a goby could move so fast.

I have never seen a fish cut so clean, the the back half does have all the meat......Did you forget to feed your fish?;Woot

Hello,

Ummm I just read the news they finally have a video footage of a giant squid. They were not filming your tank were they if so ahhh I’m kinda jealous.
Maybe do you have the footage

I'm guessing CUC.

What kind of powerheads do you use?
I dont have a cleanup crew. The wrasse puffer and watchman make sure if that. Tried snails and crabs all a bite sized snack.

Every other day. I did cut back a bit maybe part of the problem. Thought of that last night. The food god is back to feeding every day

Could a powerhead have shutoff briefly and the damsel swam into it for shelter? This happens to blennies during water changes or so I've read.
It happens to Brittle stars too! Later they look like surviving and incident with a lawn mower...

It looks just like a puffer bite(s) to me. I thought that before I saw the stock list. I would also guess it was many bites, not just one. Puffers bites are like metal sheers, clean cut.
Thats is a very good possibility

I have a pink spot goby that swallowed a 2 inch cleaner shrimp in a single gulp. I suspect she also ate a fire fish. My votes on the goby.
I have often said if my hi-fin was bigger...it seriously tries to bite me. I think their violent tendencies are underestimated.

What order did you put the fish in? Fish that go in later are less likely to bully the other fish.

The puffer was last.
