I have a 300w Viparspectra unit that I'd like to modify. I see there's a few threads on black box modification, but don't seem to show any resources on spectrum, color choices etc. Could someone point me to some better resources on proper spectrum? I'd like to start there before diving head first into everything.

I'd like to do the same to my 165w I was going to remove the reds and greens fit 2 uv and change a few warm whites for cool 12-15k and add some royal blues to the white channel and add some violets in it somewhere But have put it off as I don't want to go through all the effort and make the light worse. I was tempted to buy a second hand light and mess around so at least I can keep the original board. So fingers crossed someone on here might have in the past modified a box or 2 and can give us their experience.

Bump.

I have a165W that I’d like to mod by adding blues in place of whites. Plenty of people have posted about modifying it in other forums, just no details about how.
