I’ve been vacillating on modes for my VorTech pumps. I have two MP40s on my 4’ long 90-gallon SPS-dominant reef tank; one on each side. I’ve been running left on Reef Crest 40% and right on Child/Anti-Sync 40%. I really like the idea of Tidal Swell mode though.
As I understand it, it moves the point of turbulence between the two powerheads across the tank throughout the day, simulating an incoming and outgoing tide. Does anyone have any experience with this mode? How has your tank responded to it?
Or is the general preference for VorTech users still Reef Crest across the board?
