I just this beautiful be wall hammer piece and was wondering if it can sit in the sandbed or does it need to be mounted on something? Would the sand irritate the bottom skeleton?

I always keep wall hammers in the sand with low flow. Just make sure not to bury them deep in sand and damage the flesh. I once read that someone did that.

Also watch were you keep it. They tend to have long sweepers. The sweepers might extend and touch your sun coral [emoji15]

Very nice! I have mine just deep enough to keep it standing up. I'll be moving the sun coral in a few. I had to just throw them in when they came today cuz I had to go to work.

I love your display of Hammers. I'm working on something similar. I put mine towards the top with medium flow and med-high light. Now, I'm struggling with my ultra gold dying and losing its color. I think everyone's recommendations of sand bed placement is on point.
