My frag I picked up from WWC at RAP NY. Measured in @1" dead on when I got it home.

$600?? Ouch :(. I managed to get a nice frag from Mike B. in a trade. Its growing but not fast enough to spread around yet, sorry.

Looking forward to seeing the growth and colors as this nice frag grows out in this thread.
$600????? wow. there are nice pieces for far less. 200-250 is about what I have seen as an average price in my area.

WD is left and SC OP on the right.

About 9 months of growth from 3/4" frags. Both purchased at same time. Growth didn't reallly take off until I took them off the frag rack and mounted on live rock with proper par measurements. 14 months so far with 0 water changes.

Any idea why my new growth is different colored (and better colored) than old growth? I've had it under radion 4s under the past 6 months so no changes to schedule recently.

Maybe because of your unique WC habits and new lighting? I've noticed nearly every coral will look different in others tanks. Here is mine after a month of growth

How long did it take for everyone's frag to start encrusting? I've got a small frag that I've had for over a month that's just sat doing nothing aside from turn green from its original blue.

Mine isn't exactly growing out of the tank but it is healthy an progressing. It definitely took a while to settle in. I added a couple 10/3 photos because I need to frag some of my other corals to be able to get a decent photo now.

Using iPhone 6 frag is in a small cave so the base doesn't get white light just the part above the base as indicated by the really blue light that is slightly angled on my hood. All that has changed in a month is length and base incrusting. What my phone doesn't portray is the color right.
