Water changes and exposed coral

I do caution against making general statments like all SPS are fine or all acros. Many of the thin skinned acros are not ok with being left dry. A lot of people had trouble with Hawkins for that reason, it seems to tolerate only very short periods out of water. It even became an issue that was large enough for ORA to add the drying issue to their description:

In general, yes, most can be out of the water a shocking amount of time, but be sure to look up the individual corals you have as some are sensitive.
