Actually dry when you get it a piece let's say a one gallon milk jug size can't weigh more than 10lbs I would say 7 if I had to guess.... Man I'm gonna have to weigh a piece for curiosity... I don't have any dry left but plenty in my other tank... It has tons of holes in it where you can see through most of it... I'm guessing it's a cement mix with something else because it's pretty light I picture a solid piece of cement that size of a milk jug and it weighs a good 30 to 40lbs I have moved some in my days haha...

A gallon sized piece of rock weighing 7 lbs would float. Saltwater at 1.026 SG at 70* F weighs 8.563 lbs per gallon.

nah i have small pieces in my cube maybe a half a pound they don't float haha..if it was a solid mass maybe but the rocks absorb water... not sure how that works haha
