Sorry for such a late response! I have the 1200 in the filter sock chamber, with the intake hose going to the back of the sump into the drain. You need to cut out all the glass (including the enclosed area for the drain to trap bubbles) to fit it. For that I used the red sea sump modification kit but im sure a razor would work fine if used carefully. I also had to cut the drain a few inches for a cleaner fit with the intake hose but you might be able to get by without cutting it. It’s a far forward as possible to the front of the sump, and an extremely tight fit but it works. You have to slide the sump as far right as physically possible in the cabinet (which isn’t much but its needed), and I put the reefmat in before putting the sump in the cabinet so I’m not sure if it’s easy to remove or not. If you take it apart I’m sure there is a way to pull it out. I’ll get some photos for you in about an hour when i get home from work, but feel free to ask questions.
