So after my failed thread trying to set up a 30 gallon low boy, I’ve decided to try my hand at another cube. This will be my first non-innovative marine AIO (I’ve had the IM40, IM30, Peninsula 20, IM20, IM10) so I’m excited to see how the competition stacks up.

Initial thoughts are that this comes with more gear than any of my innovative marine tanks, and the sump area is more thought out. I really wish it came with a lid though.

This tank will be replacing an IM10. I’ll mostly be carrying things over from the old tank and using spare equipment.

Tank: waterbox 20
Light: AI Prime HD
Pump: stock waterbox
Power head: gyre icecap 1k
Heaters: cheap ones controlled by a reef keeper light
Skimmer: reef glass
ATO: tunze..can’t remember the model though.

My plan is to set everything up tomorrow when the light shows up. Need to set up the remainder of the aquascape though.

Shifted everything over after leak testing it last night. I made the mistake of doing everything only a couple hours before the tank lights went out so I was a little rushed. I carried over the old live rock from the 10 gallon but I’m still worried about there being a cycle with the new rock being added, so I need to get a tank starter tomorrow. I also need a one of those lids since I didn’t realize that it wasn’t included. Can anyone recommend one?

Not related but we had one of our local art shows and I finally picked up a work by my favorite local artist.

Tank is all set up. Carried over everything from the 10 gallon and added the new stuff.

Can I get some aquascape feedback? I’m pretty good with how the right side turned out but can’t figure out what to do with the left. Also, can anyone recommend a new skimmer?

Finally, throwing in some pics from the 30 gallon. I’m about to do a water change to get that hair algae out, but the corals are looking great.

I don’t use a skimmer on my WB 20 but I was watching the waterbox 20 live battles and Jess was using the Tunze Comline 9001

Wait what are the waterbox 20 life battles? Also have you ordered a lid for yours?

What lid did you go with?
I went with Clearview lids. It wasn’t cheap but it’s a really solid lid. I went with them because they had the dimensions for the water box 20 as an option so I wouldn’t have to measure it myself.

Is there any options you got with yours that you wish you wouldn't have or were there options that you wish you would have gotten that you didn't?
