Waterbox shipping is slow

This is time sensitive because it is replacing a Red Sea 750 v2 with a seam that’s about to fail. I got tubs on standby, but the Red Sea tank is 4 years old and the bottom seam is slowly going.
Shame. Innovative marine makes some great tanks too. Only reason I didn’t go that route is cus of the limited space in the cabinet. Their sumps are huge. love my Marine X tho. Hope you get your WB soon

@scarbay13 is a new member here and is having a delay in his tank shipping. They initially told him 4-6weeks at the end of September but is now delayed to the end of the year….

I was very happy with IM shipping other than the courier they used (Roadrunner I think?). They fit me in on a Friday after calling me on a Thursday. Told me they would call 30-60 mins prior to arrival. Never called and just showed up for less than 2 mins and left. They tried to charge me 150$ after that but I won that battle. The next week they delivered and they still didn’t call prior. Luckily I was home with an HVAC repair person.

I may end up switching, I have 10-12 guests coming for Christmas and was hoping to get this one installed during thanksgiving when nobody was here. I figured 6 months was plenty of time, but I guess not. I just wish they were transparent when I call and just say it’s back ordered a year.

I ordered my Waterbox back in 2021 and to the best of my memory it took well over 8 weeks for me to receive it. My tank’s been running for over 4 years now and I don’t regret my purchase, waiting and all, one bit.

I've ordered a few tanks from them and have been happy. I'm not sure who you got in customer service, but whenever I've dealt with them, they were great.

I recently ordered a custom tank and they were very upfront with the time frame and and they have been very good at keeping me updated.

Sorry you've been having an issue, but you've waited this long I have to assume it'll come soon. From the sounds you ordered from your lfs?

Just ordered an eshopps m130 Saturday. I’m still waiting too. Not as long as you but still waiting. Hope this helps. 🤣. Seriously though, I hope you see it soon.

I Also went with the 80g AIO but waiting for shipping. Places my order 11/6 so I'm assuming it should ship soon then, may I ask when you placed yours?
October 18th.

Just got an email today that my tank is in the US, but stuck at the port. I imagine this is causing delays for a bunch of customers.

For me it's no big deal because it'll only be 2 weeks late and there's no rush. So did anyone waiting I'd say hold tight.

Ordered a Waterbox x 60.2 on the 27th of August.
Arrived 08th of November at my LFS. (Based in the Netherlands in Europe)
My best guess, most of the new reefers are staying away from Red Sea after all the negative news of tanks breaking. That's the main reason i went for Waterbox.
I can only imagine more people doing the same, and there is more demand than supply for the other brands than Red Sea because of this.

That and the current "pre-Black Friday" sales don't include Red Sea, their prices are getting a bit too high as well.

Finally got a notice that there was another delay but it’s now supposed to ship out on the 20th. At least it’s only getting bumped weeks now instead of months 😂. I ordered the 330.7. I’m not sure if that’s what factored into the long shipping time. I also ordered right before they raised their prices. My main reason for purchasing waterbox was their warranty. Now I need to start ordering lights, etc and upgrade my equipment. At least I can take advantage of the Black Friday sales

That's a big tank. Are you going to do a build thread?

It’s my wife’s tank, you would have to take it up with her 😂.
I was going to quit reefing when my Red Sea 750 started to fail, she went out and bought a new waterbox 330.
