Waterbox shipping is slow

I’m entering week 4 after this weekend and haven’t seen any updates since the order confirmation email. It would be helpful to receive some status updates. For example, whether the order has been sent to the factory, and if the tank is currently under construction. Sometimes I’m also wondering whether the order has already been sent to the factory in China (?). With the Lunar New Year holiday coming up in February, I’m a bit concerned about the delays if the tank is not shipped before then.

For now, I’ll continue to wait and plan to contact Waterbox after week 6 if there are no updates.
WB will respond to emails within 48 hours, but with a muppet response you would expect from a toddler.

From start to finish and several delays to shipping it took a bit over 3 months for my tank to arrive.

Waterbox is a joke. I put them right down there with Red Sea.

I don't think they deserve to be that low on the totem pole, they at least seem to have good longevity.

My LFS has a large Waterbox tank—maybe the LX 330.7 or LX 380.8. The tank itself still seems pretty solid after two years, but one of the cabinet doors doesn’t close properly. They also have a brand new large tank from Ultum Nature Systems, and the build quality looks better than Waterbox, though it’s probably more expensive as well.

I’ve done a number of IM tanks and the 2 that came from them directly were less than 10 days . Just ordered the entry version of the 25 lagoon AIO plus cover. Here’s hoping it’ll ship that fast again. Was thinking about the WaterBox 25 peninsula but a minimum wait time of 4-6 weeks as noted on the site was a no go for me.

I ordered a Waterbox 50.3 AIO in October 2024. It was listed as backordered with a 6-8 week estimated wait time. It arrived week 9. Customer service was responsive whenever I asked for an update, including refunding 15 percent of my purchase price when the tank went on sale while backordered. The tank has been up and running for almost a year now, and it's been great. I have no complaints about Waterbox.

After reading all the posts here I thought about cancelling my order for the WB 20 gallon cube but figured I'd wait the 6 weeks. It ended up shipping exactly at the 4 week mark and will be here today. I'm sure a little 20 gallon is probably one of the quicker ones to ship though.

Good to hear that people are receiving their tanks within or close to the 4–6 week window. Mine is the Reef 190.5, which is larger, so it may take longer. I plan to contact Waterbox next week (week 6). So far, I haven’t received any updates.

I was on week 11 for my WB 150 and finally cancelled last week. In fairness my first 2 WB aquariums were timely so not sure what was going on. I did order before the holidays and before the sale hit so you’d assume I would have beat the rush.

I checked in with WATRBOX at week 6 and got an email saying the estimated shipping is this week or next. Sounds great. Now fingers crossed it actually happens.

No, I’m still waiting. To be fair, they said it should ship before January 22, so there are still a few days left. If there’s no update after that and they push the date again, it would be pretty frustrating and make me wonder if they’re just playing games.

I ordered mine 6 weeks ago and still have no information at all they keep telling me to check back later.

What size tank? I couldn’t help myself being IM fanboy. I checked and in stock is listed as shipping in 72 hrs on their site

Its the Waterbox 230.6 I did also look at the IM 170 and 200 what really ended up tipping the scales way the inability to use my reef mat 1200 in there sumps.

Looks like I’ll need to email Waterbox again to ask if they have a new estimated shipping date. This is quite disappointing. Customer support should be proactively keeping customers informed about order status, rather than customers having to repeatedly reach out for updates.

I’m waiting on one too. Ordered in November and they’re not expecting it to ship until the end of February.

So something like 14 weeks if it ships when they expect. Definitely not fast.

It’s a 150.4

Who told you in February I called water box and they wouldn’t give me any information but I ordered through bulk reef supply and they’re saying end of February also. For 230.6

I contacted Waterbox again and was asked to be patient for a few more business days. I hope that’s true. I’ll be entering week 10 this weekend.
