To top it off my wife bought me 15 corals. 6 torches a few Duncan's. Gnome. And zoas. I got them to hold off till next wendsday to ship and just bought a 13gal fluval evo to try and keep them alive till waterbox comes. Crazy part is I plan on drilling holes in my aio when it comes yolo!

I hope this works out for you, but unless your transferring from an existing tank your new tank won't be ready for corals for probably 3 months. You need time for the tank to establish itself biologically or your just setting yourself up for failure. I recently did a transfer to a bigger tank and I had my new tank setup with established Rick from my old tank for about 6 weeks before I moved stuff over.

The issue is that your tank will be pretty unstable in the beginning, so it's not a great time to be adding a bunch of corals. The only way I'd recommend doing that is if your staying the tank with mature rock.

One of the greatest and hardest lessons in this hobby is patience.

For a reference I spent easily 6 months planning and building my latest tank. That from the moment I decided to do it until I moved my livestock over. It took a little longer than 3 months just to get the tank.

Anyways good luck and don't rush things.

Well a shop i know is giving me live rock and sand and water out on of his tanks to jump start it. Hope that works with the bacterial starter i got too.

I have patience problem is my wife already bought the coral so I have no choice but to make it work hopefully with established water live rock and live sand will make it speed up

This is what bothers me the most about the delays. It’s one thing if it’s billed once it ships. It’s another thing to pay in full for an advertised 6-8 week delivery and 3 months later there is still no sign of a real, reliable ship date.

It’s a pretty sizable amount of money for them to be holding for what is looking like will push to 4+ months

Still waiting on that 150.4 since November

They have my 3 grand for 4 weeks so far with no date crap is crazy. Almost feels like a scam lol

I ordered an UNS R 120 from my LFS Dec 30th. Granted that was around the Holidays, but Easter is almost here and I was recently notified it was shipped. So, it seems if it's not in stock in your store, plan on a wait for larger tanks.

My post from this morning was lost as well. Something strange is going on.

I’m fine with a 4–6 week lead time, even if they calculate it using business days. But four calendar months is far beyond 4–6 weeks, even by business-day standards. I would have appreciated it if they had been transparent from the beginning and clearly stated that the lead time would be significantly delayed due to the holidays.

I’ll call the CC company to hear their suggestions. My concern is that WB may postpone the shipping again after the end of March...

Man I canceled it. They said no date and might take 2 more months I ordered a redsea 350 g3 its coming from Texas and ill get in 2 weeks

If there is one thing I’ve learned from this hobby is that it requires patience, and usually lots of it. I heard the new gen 3 tanks are supposed to not leak but only time will tell. Good luck with the Red Sea tank!
