wave maker

i currently have 2 cheap ebay power heads on each end of my 46g tank. i was thinking of getting a wave maker power head. do i just run one on one end or do i still run two of them? i was looking at Jebao WP 10 Wave Maker with Controller 530GPH 1000GPH | eBay

For that size tank I wouldn't do a 10, try a 25 instead. Wp-10 are very weak. Try one 25 on one side and keep your ebay ones on the other side. Or get 2 WP-25's.

2 Jaebo..Wp25...would be fine but may need to turn down a bit. With those you can at least grow with, as opposed to having to buy bigger ones later.

We have 2 wp60, at each end and a Wp25, in the back of rocks to reduce dead spots, in our 150g.

thats the same setup I have on my 4foot 120g tank. I have both wp60s on w1 at the lowest setting and the wp25 on w1 high setting. One thing with the wp series is, you need to keep them clean (almost seem more than normal) otherwise your flow will drop drastically. The rw series seems to be better because of the bigger gaps between grilles

It's always better to go a little bit bigger but if you don't have the room then just stick with the smaller ones. I never looked at the RW's but they might be a good option from what everyone is saying as well. Don't think so much about the price as these pumps will be in the tank for quite a while.
