Im thinking of adding second mp40 to my 125. I wondered if a wavebox would give my water flow better variety and help to keep detritus suspended. I have a perfect space on the back wall where the wavebox could sit and not be noticable.

I think the mp40 woul dbe your best bet if you already have one of the wireless ecosmart drivers on your current mp40. You can do some really cool stuff with the ecosmart drivers. IMO, it wil also be easier to use and setup than a waveox.
I personally am all about the clean looks of the vortechs. Plus I agree with xmetalfan99 in regards to the functions of the mp's. The vairety of stuff you can do with them is amazing.
It is nice not to have any wires in the tank. Still wondering if anyone with a wavebox can chime in?
they sold em all to get mp40's. I have 2 mp40 on my 90 and ntm has so much wave making i have to turn em down a little over half way to keep the water in my tank.
I have a friend with a wavebox, he hates it. He states that the constant motor sound is annoying. I have an MP40 and love it...looking for a second.

Hey Travis, MP40 all the way!
The only thing I hate about the vortec pumps, is how half of the pump sticks off the side of your tank. it just doesn't look clean to me. Putting it on the back of the tank looks a lot nicer but not practical for narrow tanks.
What bothers me the most about vortech's is the amount of those suckers I see in the for sale threads. I always hear complaints about them being loud too. Have you had any problems with yours at all?
