I have a way pro ET 200 ozone generator that I bought back in July. I’ve been using it for the last month and a half where it has significantly outperformed all other ozone generators I have tested. My ozone generator is connected to the Venturi input on my protein skimmer. I recently had a problem where my protein skimmer turned off, not allowing ozone to be distributed and not having any Venturi pulling air through for three days. After running for three days straight with no air movement my ozone generator no longer produces ozone. I took it apart per the instructions to clean the plate that the instructions says should be clean periodically. I did find that the input was clogged with a white powder that I believe to be a byproduct of the moisture in the air. I could not identify any other areas that needed any additional cleaning outside of what the instructions say should be clean. I bought it on Amazon and after doing research I determined that there is no true warranty replacement so I’m kind of stuck on what to do. Anyone else have similar issues or thoughts on what to do?

@Fishy888 just went through what he thought was a dead ozone generator that ended up being the air supply line not supplying air.

Maybe a similar situation on yours?

Have you tried cleaning the plates? If so check to see if your air pump is putting out air.

I’d still try using an air pump. When I did the smell test on my old Weipro without a working pump outlet I couldn’t smell any ozone. As soon as I switched to the working outlet I had ozone again.

Just to test it I’d take it off of the Venturi, hook an air pump up to it and do the smell test. If the generator still doesn’t work after hooking it up to the generator doesn’t work I’d try either having Amazon or whoever you bought it from replace it or give you a refund.

I tried Amazon and they said it is past the rerun point. I bought it in July.

Amazon doesn't warranty them. You have to reach out to the seller or the company. Those have a 1 year warranty.

At least that is what it said. I was looking at one of those to buy it. If they aren't honoring it, I sure don't want to grab one....

Before I bought one today, I reached out to the weipro company through Amazon. They answered in a couple of hours and reinforced that they have a 1 year warranty. If you do a contact the seller thing through the amazon interface, I'll bet they will send you a new one.

The Poseidon 200 is on sale for Black Friday. This is the most reputable ozone generator for the reefing hobby:
