My tank is giving me fits this week. Just came home and found my nem holding...something... I have no idea what this thing is. It is lavender and has black specks on it. It looks nothing like anything I have put in the tank or seen in there before. Also it's pretty large (anemone is the size of my fist). Yesterday when I was trying to figure out what a pineapple sponge was I read through like 10 "common what is this thing" threads on various sites and never saw anything like this. Thoughts? The nem seems happy to be holding it but she isn't trying to eat it and I have no clue what it is lol.

Have you fed the anemone recently? It looks almost like regurgitated food to me but it's hard to tell from the picture.

It is possible my husband did a direct feeding last night but nothing we feed the tank is purple... the only thing I've ever seen come out was white stringy stuff lol. Sorry about the image quality. It's like she had her tentacles in the way on purpose lol

Oh, and other than snails and hermits (cause I have no clue how many there are in there) every live thing that I know is in the tank is accounted for...except for a large feather duster but it slipped its shell thing the day we put it in the tank and I haven't seen it since...

Plus 1 on the looks like regurgitated food. Are you missing any fish? My nem will regurgitate the skeleton of the fish it ate. A better picture would help though.
