Started the hobby 11/10/18. I really can not explain how absorbed and interested I’ve become in reefing in the short amount of time. I’ve never had something stick so quick and stay as interesting. I’ve always loved them and thought they were amazing and then BOOM!! One day, as an adult, it hit me. Just go get a tank. Let me stop right there. Mistake #1 was made. I had done zero actual research. Fast forward to today and about 100 more mistakes, and here I am with my Biocube 29HQI (bought it used!!!). I have done a crazy amount of hours of reading and talking to others that I finally feel comfortable with the hobby and want to get more involved in the conversation and events. Yes I plan on a bigger tank but this tank fits my current lifestyle well(size). Anyways, here’s the tank. Any questions or comments are appreciated.

Yes I need a lens. Sorry for that

Also don't worry about the mistakes. I have also made my fair share over the years! Now you can share with us what you have learned! We do love to help each other on this forum ;)

We're glad you're here and we look forward to watching your tank mature and helping with your questions!

Welcome, tanks looking good. No reason to rush to a bigger tank if your getting nice results on the current one. Now keeping the current and a bigger, now your talking

You know I like the point you make. Marc Levenson is for sure my biggest mentor in this hobby and he said something very similar to that which made me confident enough to become part of the community and conversation. Thanks for that. It would be neat to tie the Biocube into the future build!! :D

I've been reefing for a long time, and my photo skills are also not too hot. Someone posted another thread yesterday about how the lens and techniques for taking good photos.
All that to say, we are all still making "mystakes" and learning, it's just how things work.
Welcome to Reef2Reef! Glad you joined here.

WELCOME!!!
So long as you learn from your mistakes and don't repeat them...
