LOL thats just magnificent idea! Here, tell your boss you'll work from home from now on. Problem solved!
Where are people working that this would be permitted? I mean genuinely...
I used to work for a pet food company and I can see there it would not only be permitted, but would be seen as dedication and an example of our industry.
But outside of that, there's probably a theme in the type of industry, or maybe, having a good boss who doesn't mind this happening?
So, I've become a reefing addict. Its true the first step of addiction is admitting there is a problem. Okay, so now that I've admitted it let's talk about how to continue it.
I would like a small AIO tank at my office. I was thinking the BioCube 32 as I have heard good things about it. I was also thinking of doing a mostly softy tank so the lighting requirements and dosing would be a lot less. However, I'm still kinda stuck on how people have tanks outside their home. Here are some questions I have.
1. How do people deal with water? I know my boss wouldn't let me set up and RODI and mixing station here at work, so do people just bring water from home?
2. What do you do about feeding over weekends, or holidays?
3. Related somewhat to 2, but what sort of automation do you have for the tank?
4. What am I not thinking about? For people with office tanks what has been some issues that have come up?
Thank you for the advice. This is something I keep going back and forth on.
You should have started with that picture, now all makes sense LOL
This is my office, and these or some of the office dogs. Not picture are Bentley the Boston terrier, Barkley the lab mix, and Duke the golden retriever. I’m not the boss, but our company is pretty lax on pets. As long as they get along well with each other and with customers they are welcome.
I think with the closed lid the ATO may not be necessary. I can always buy that later to add on. I was worried about feeding over weekends, but I could set up an auto feeder, or just feed a little heavy on Friday.
I think I’m leaning towards doing it. Petco has the biocube on sale right now. Plus if you order online and pick up in stores it’s an additional 10% off. I think the other things I would need are sand, rock, power head, heater. For a 30 gallon I should probably do two power heads.
I don't think I conveyed my jealousy well enough. I'm envious.
