I'm surprised you can net them. Limpets have quite a strong foothold, and the only way I know to get them off is to grab them with your fingers and twist.I have a lot just net them
The ones I was thinking about are closer to 3 mm than 8 mm. Are they oval or round? I can't tell from your picture, but I'm assuming you were talking about the white specs on the glass.They are super small like 8 mm

+1Limpets will definitely have an oval shape, so they are most likely not limpets. Also, limpet shells are conical and have a hole in the point of the cone.
