I currently dose kalk that equals my daily evaporation (dosing pump and not the ATO cause I don't want to destroy pumps, lol). I run a dehumidifier in the house to try to get that little extra evaporation and not have nearly 70% humidity...

I dose Red Sea ABCD Colors trace elements daily and correct the lagging elements every 3 months from ICP with Captive8 products since that is more cost effective and easy. I definitely would not consistently dose 1 drop of 20 different bottles, but 1mL of 4 different bottles is easy to manually do.

I have been dosing KZ bacteria for the last 3 months since I had my chaeto died off on me randomly. I'm starting to tone it back since nitrates and phosphates are more in the range I want.

I'll occasionally dose PhosphateRX whenever my phosphates gets above .15 ppm. It is only once every few months, but did increase it when the chaeto died off and released a lot of stuff. I'm sure it was my iron as I didn't dose anything above and beyond what's in the Red Sea Colors ABCD. I'm super careful with iron tho since I've had dinos from overdosing it.

I also dose Acropower every 3 days with a dosing pump.

I’m seriously thinking of going back to halides & T5 hybrid, as the amount of wattage for a led fixture exceeds the halides and doesn’t provide the same growth for sps

I’m going to have to re-read the thread to see what DIY Randys 3 part is missing. The price difference is not insignificant.

There is nothing wrong with 2 part or 3 part just as there is nothing wrong with Kalkwasser. Not to state the obvious but some hobbyist like to tinker and additive based methods may scratch that itch. Others like simpler solutions that maybe All For Reef brings and budget accordingly. Some like to mix things up and find a combination that works.

The part I find rather interesting is those who use a product or method in ways that it wasn't designed for. Sort of like the right tool for the job. The hammer or screwdriver isn't always the right choice. Ok, there is one exception. F4 tape. That is always the right option...

But I ramble...

This is true… but these meridians are comparable I’ll say that much! I just changed a few weeks back!

Switched to zeovit about ten months ago.polyp extension & colours have been great.i don’t focus on obsessive ULNS & look at it more as a method of reducing nutrients to a low level while keeping heavy input into the tank.

Nice! That’s prettt much how I roll.. I use Zeo and the stones but never shake them cause again I’m lazy lol.. I use it at about 50% of its potential I guess as I’m not striving for a ulns.

To be honest I didn’t even know it was a competition like that till he texted me.. at least mine is a thread with data and experiences.. I mean I can summons stewy if we just gotta spam . That’s not why I created this! I honestly wanna know what people are doing today as I left for a long time and came back to a different scene with different people! I’m old skool man!

KZ is great but takes a while to bed in.its easy to end up patting your head & rubbing your belly with sea-saw nutrient levels from excessive stripping/feeding simultaneously.
I started seeing success when I removed a few unnecessary products & stopped striving for zeros

I do give the stones a quick daily shake just to slough some bacteria off.
I think zeovit is less rigid than the guide & forum would have us believe & adapts well to low nutrients rather than ulns.
I run kalk which is a zeo no go but I’ve seen no negatives from it.

I stopped using zeobak after it's been tested as to have strep.

I do think it is better at helping control my nutrients than any other additive that I am close to zero at times when I was using it to completion. I've switched to using Purple Non-Sulfur Bacteria, Dr Tims and Microbacter 7 and bacto balance for maintenance this year.

I still have the KZ colors kit that I want to use eventually except that the ICP is going to be an investment if I did start on this dosing regimen.
