I think it was Reefaholic but I don't need to tag as it would sound like I'm calling them out. But yes, they are pretty die hard on the moonshine platform. Which, by the way, is perfectly fine. Just be open to other ways I think was our debate back then.
Memory lane :)
Very nice, which pump?I dosed some kalk as I put a new/used pump on my top off.. lol
who’s still awake? Let’s go west coast! What we dosing in the tank?
I had an extra tunze top off from my frag tank I just sold. So it’s the stock pump. I’ve had nothing but problems with the optical sensor and now the pump took a dump! I was gonna switch the sensors but I guess they’re calibrated to the controller so that wasn’t an option..Very nice, which pump?
Why the chloride over the bicarbonate?I work nights here so ill be awake until the morning haha
About to be dosing Dr Tims Ammonium Chloride and some Brightwell MircroBacter ;)
Why the chloride over the bicarbonate?
Bicarbonate would work the same.. dry rock or some live rock?Just got my new main wet, salt goes in tomorrow. Use the Chloride for my ammonia source then the MicroBacter for bacteria
Only thing I can dose at the moment lol
That sucks, those look like decent pumps too. ATOs are one of the few things i would consider essential. I built my ato, v1 was using optical sensors and they kept failing on me after about a year too. After round 2 i found out the top of the sensor, which very much looked submersible was in fact not. Every time i turned off the return pump for a water change they would get totally dunked. Swapped them for basic float switches and it's been going strong since.I had an extra tunze top off from my frag tank I just sold. So it’s the stock pump.
