Pellets and frozen food are probably the best. I feed pellets through a turkey baster. I would steer clear of flakes, most fish don't know what to do with them.

I've only got a pair of Ocellaris Clownfish and a Bicolor Blenny at the moment, but their diet consists of dry food mostly. Four different kinds of flake food & NLS pellets make up the bulk of it, but I will feed frozen foods such as Emerald Entre, Carnivore Cousine & Mysis shrimp every now & then as well. Live black worms are also fed once or twice a week too.

I personally feed reef frenzy about twice a week, seaweed daily and frozen mysis a couple times a week. Make sure with thaw the mysis and food like that in ro or tank water and strain it with a fish net before adding it to the tank. This keeps excess nutrients out of the reef, You do not need to do this with reef frenzy fyi.

I feed Mysis shrimp, spirulina flakes, fresh chopped shrimp and algae sheets treated with garlic.
I use the chopped shrimp to keep my fish away while I am feeding my LPS. I also occasionally use
concentrated garlic oil in the Mysis shrimp.

This keeps my phosphates to a minimum so my GFO is not working to hard.
I stay clear of pellet foods as many are heavy in phosphates. not all of them,
but a lot of them.
