I have an IM Nuvo Pro 10, 25, and 120g. I have also had the 40g in the past.

The easiest was the 40. There is an excellent Tunze skimmer that fits like a glove, the return pump it comes with is excellent, and a single fixture will light it effectively. Front to back space is great for scaping. You don’t really need to dose; just a simple water change (I used the auto aqua AWC and just put 2, 10 gallons underneath it in the stand for weekly water changes.

my 10g is great but the single overflow is dangerous. I had an anemone block it perfectly 2 weeks ago.

the 20g is awesome but no room in the back for anything.

my 120g. I love it. Thick star fire glass, big compartments in the back, fits most modern equipment (big Tunze skimmer, COR-15, Refugium, etc). I’m very tall so working in the back is ok. It looks beautiful and it is simplified overall. Still, I’m a tinkerer and it adds challenges to that. Lots of cord management on one side. My Neptune Trident sits on the counter next to it. Dosing tubes and things coming off the back. It’s organized and neat but not as clean as a sump would be.

I chose it because my last sump tank was a 60g

my next tank will be in the same place but I’m plumbing it to a nice big open fish room below.

I really like the black glass rear chambers of the Waterbox AIOs. Easy to clean and look really good. Really nice low-iron glass and quality build. Only thing I would change is to make the return chamber (on the Cube 10/Mini Pen 15/Mini Pen 25) a little larger to accommodate more return pumps.

I have a Red Sea Nano Max and Waterbox 65.4 AIO.
I also have a 150 gallon Sumped tank. Both types have there advantages and disadvantages but on the whole I’d say AIO tanks force you to keep it simple. On the other hand the scope of what many would find essential equipment like skimmers can be problematic in AIOs since space is at a premium. It’s all about thinking ahead and deciding from the onset what equipment you’re going to be able to employ. Here is the little Nano Max at nine months.

I love my RSM 250. I switched out the T-5s a few years ago with Steve’s LEDs, and my corals have never been happier. Big benefit that they reduced the temperature significantly and I no longer need a chiller in the summer months.

I have had a IM Nuvo 40g AIO for over 6 years and it is very well built. No complaints, very clear glass and they offer lots of gadgets and add-ons you can purchase.

Beautiful tank! What kind of fish is in the bottom right? Looks like some sort of wrasse. What's your stocking list as far as fish? Also curious how you're running your filtration. Sorry for all of the questions, but I have the same tank and am always curious how other people run theirs.

Thank you! It’s a Sixline Wrasse. I also have a Royal Gramma, a Cherub Angel, and a couple Masked Gobies.
I have a Tunze Comline 9004 skimmer in the left overflow chamber and the Media caddy in the right with filter pad up top and Chaeto in lower with the IM refugium light hanging on back glass illuminating the caddy. I do a 25% water change every three weeks. And run 2 Kamoer X1s for 2-part. Tunze ATO. RO water IM 5g reservoir under tank. Light is an AI Hydra 26 and a 24” Actinic strip light.

Very cool mix of fish! Your filtration components are very similar to mine but with slight differences. I'm running the IM Ghost Skimmer in the 3rd chamber and a refugium in the 2nd chamber with the IM fuge light.

How do you like the Tunze skimmer? Does the fuge work well in the 4th chamber? Mine is prone to slime up so to lack of flow I think.

I have owned IM 50 lagoon. IM30L. Currently own IM SR80, IM25 and a red Sea reefer 625xxl. The 5O was a great tank. Upgraded to the RS with it. The 30 I didn't like at all once set up. Great quality.I always struggled with the flow and scape due to it being so narrow. The SR80 is great. The 25 I'm using as a frag system. Overall aio's are convenient but I prefer a sump system for the space and maintenance is easier I think. I do like the plug and play of an AIO. They can be set up and taken down very easy. They have their advantages but also limitations.

I had the Ghost for a while and then switched to the Tunze. Tunze pulls out a lot more gunk and runs pretty flawlessly

Mine are my custom builds… built larger rear chambers that can accommodate bigger skimmers and pumps

Been a freshwater aquar. for 55 years and was gifted an EVO 13.5 as an easier way to begin saltwater. Two years later it's taught me a lot. Upgraded The stock light with a Current loop because it fits in the hood but the spectrum falls short. The programmable eflux pumps are great but only use one.
Overall I'm happy, just need a better light.

I've only owned 2 AIO, I've loved both.

24gal Aquatop, same as the person a few posts back has. Went with the Sicce 1.5 as well. Great tank for what I want to do with it

Also own an IM SR 120. It's a monster and also very easy to maintain. Not having an under tank sump was important to me, and the SR120 was the largest AIO I could get into the space that I was aware of without going custom.

Been a few months back on this thread but I'm setting up an IM40 AIO and plan on running a fuge similar to yours but was gonna run intank media basket with floss on top and chaeto in the bottom then intank fuge in the chamber beside it as well. Pods for a mandarin! Everyone seems to run the chaeromax light. So if I was gonna run 2 chambers side x side shouldn't I go with the 18W double? Also have an Apex but your thoughts on the GRO covering both chambers. Thanks
