For me it's hit and miss as there is no 9ne thing that's accurate, I've watched 2 montis be brink of destruction come back, the forest fire one doing well, then my idaho grape comeback with a Vengeance only to pale out and be mia again.. my Duncan's always are doing well and such so overall its my whole tabk I love being the prize though I have much to figure out still. I may work on dropping max light levels to a lower range, even with some losses and some gains, the ebb and flow 0f a tabk is what I love both the frustration and the excitement of success and failure

While my acros are generally doing well I'd have to say the more rewarding corals are the euphyllia. I don't worry about them as much, they are very pretty, and they just grow and look good.

i cant think

This giant (Ricordea Yuma) went through an ammonia spike 2 years ago:

For size reference, that’s a 5” Foxface and in the day light (12pm) it’s at its biggest, by biggest I mean the rock and clownfish go invisible haha

Here they are at their finest:

Flow is quite high in that tank so they’re waving more towards the left side of the tank. Here’s my other mushrooms that are doing just as good, the big blue is the mother mushroom and she was bought at the same size as the smallest blue (I think that’s the one in flat against the rock).

I am only serval weeks into the land of corals (and partly want to give up because of the bad luck I feel like I am having), so I don't know if my vote counts >.< but out of the six I have, the one I love and maybe look at more if I get over my downer on this tank right now is the Duncan! It is growing, it's beautiful in the white or blue light and seems to like whatever I am doing right now. Plus I ordered a three-headed Duncan and I received a four-headed Duncan, bonus!

I really don't have a favorite. They are all coming along nicely. Will be upgrading to a larger tank, So there will be more.

Man this is a great question! For me it’s only hard because I don’t know which one I love more. Candy Canes are up there I love how you get a frag and then in a few months they just start splitting and you have the big ball. Lepto just grows and takes over what ever I put it on. Fun to watch the encrusting corals work and fill every nook and cranny of the rock. So many more to list…

My red goniopora with blue mouths. I love the way they sway in the current and their growth rate. Plus they are my college colors. Rock Chalk Jayhawk.

I have a love/hate relationship with my space invader. I love the color it and the growth pattern. What I don’t like is the aggression it displays with those crazy sweepers at night. It constantly kills my Zoas and part of my Duncan coral. I have to frag it soon but I’m afraid to cut it. It does grow rather quickly too.

Tough one as there are so many nice corals that I've had the privilege to keep! Out of all of them, these stand out by major grouping:

Mushrooms: Ricordia (especially R. yuma)

Soft Corals: Scleronephthya/Dendronephthya

LPS: Blastomussa

Definitely my scolly, I bought as a kind of pastel red and now over the space of a year it is huge and developed a lot of colour.

Right now i am filling in a section of my tank with Montipora Digitata very rewording watching them branch and grow. I also have four frags of Montipora Setosa that are growing into a beautiful neon red colony. Next year challenge Acropora.
