What Do You Do?

I am always curious to know what people do for a living. So, I thought it would make a good thread. People may find out that they have more in common with other than they think.

Myself, I have two small business.... One, of course a reseller of live coral. Other than that I am a construction/home inspector. Some new homes but much of my work comes from existing homes.

I'm a senior in mechanical engineering at ISU. I got into this hobby when I actually had a good co-op with whirlpool. Now I trade coral to pay for salt, lol.

Senior Financial Specialist at Chrysler LLC. I track the margins for the Cab Chassis Programs (Medium Duty Commercial Trucks). I also get involved in the light duty and heavy duty Ram stuff also.

respiratory technician - breathing treatments, pulmonary function testing, ekg's, stress tests, pulmonary and cardiac rehab. should finish classes this year, and will be a registered respiratory therapist (i'll be 36 next week, so obviously i'm either a really sloooooooow learner, or this isn't my first career ;) )

I own The Alternative Reef. The goal is for this to be my only trade.

I am also a papermachine tech that ocasionally acts as a millwright in training. Beauty of this job is I only work about 5 months out of the year.

I probably have two of the dirtiest jobs on this board. And neither pays that well.

My wife is a part time preschool teacher and caregiver to our two special needs children.

I manage a Propane Company(ok I know Hank Hill...I sell propane and propane accesories)We distribute "Blue Rhino" Cylinders to 1/3 of Texas and all of New Mexico as well as wholesale and retail propane sales....

couple years ago i was in the operating engineers union, and worked as an oiler on a couple jobs. that, was a dirty flippin job. so i feel ya bro. that machinery gets pretty nasty in the spots that "normal" people never see :sad:

I'm a equipment operator for the NKy/Cincinnati International airport. So if you ever fly into Cincy during a snowstorm and land safely, you can thank me. lol I'm also my department's OSHA compliance trainer.

AND Gary knows me best as a landscaper---I designed his landscaping when he used to live by me....I'm just waiting for him to ask me for another design so I can get some more frags!!!!:tongue:

It was equipmentcenters.com until 02-04-2009 cooperate move changed it to lectrus.com to grow the company. If you ask me its like taking the arches down at McDonald s. You dont just change the name after forty years!

This turned out to be a cool thread. I have always fealt that what people do for a living tells a lot about them.

Hey Kris - There is a good chance I will need that this coming spring. This house has a ton of landscaping, going all the way around the house. But, its out dated and looks nothing like the great landscaping that you have!
