What do you treat New fish with ?

Do you treat right off the bat? Or just watch the fish in QT?

Whats your choice of meds ?

Im treating everything that comes home now! Need some first hand advice.

I watch for a month and if it has no signs of illness then they go into the DT untreated. I've only dealt with ich and I use copper meds in a QT until they clear up and are healthy. Once they are pest free I stop the copper treatment and observe for another 3-4 weeks.

I don't usually treat new fish, I also just watch them carefully. Be sure to get yours from a reputable dealer. :)

Kyle email kevin and see what he says. He told me to treat copper and then watch for a few weeks. But you should chat with him, you absorb info better than myself

So far I have been going with the method of watching with no treatment.

Chloroquine Phosphate for everything in qt. One and done treatment.

All fish get 10 days Chloroquine Phosphate QT, then 2 rounds of Prazipro.
