What do you wish you had planned for?

Now that you have your tank set up, please share anything that you WISH you had planned for/thought that would have been much eaiser to implement BEFORE your tank had water.

Wish i built a sump instead of recycling a 55 that was sitting around. The 18" height makes it a nightmare to work with underneath the stand.

i wish i had a bigger, custom, tank... some day. i also wish i would of left out a sandbed in the fuge in my sump.

Definitely wish i would have worked in a sump...granted my tank is small but there are so many benefits to having one that i was unaware of when i started. Guess i just need a new tank lol

I wish I would have installed my manifold higher up

and that I used two return pumps instead of one.

wish I would have installed a bigger sump, and that all the plunbing was hard piped with unions and valves instead of oversize tubing,

Wish I would've held off a bit longer and went with a bigger tank.

I wish we had known about sumps and skimmers. So to get this installed in our tank we needed to drill a hole in the back part of the tank. So we had to do a big move of the fish and put the corals on the sand bed and drain most of the water to drill a hole in the bottom of the tank so we could put that in. also the sump was too big so we had to saw a piece out of the stand to get it in. It was a rough week but well worth it.
