Hi, I have a 55 gallon corner reef tank. I only have softies and lps coral and I want to get a new fish. I currently have 3, a clownfish, sapphire damsel, and a watchman goby. I also have a coral banded shrimp. I really want a new fish that'll add something new. I was thinking about a wrasses like a possum or flasher wrasse. But idk if they'd be ok in the tank. My clownfish was a bit aggressive towards my goby when I first got it until I got my damsel. My damsel has only been aggressive when my clown tries to be aggressive towards other tank mates. As for my shrimp, he has never been aggressive towards new fish unless they get close to him. And when they do he tends to just show off his claws and back away instead of trying to attack. I just need some ideas since I'm really indecisive. Thanks!

Leopard wrasse
Hawkfish
Rabbit fish, but will get larger

But do your research first. Some of these fish have specialized needs. Or are less compatible than others. Good luck!

Wrasse is great idea, must have sand, and a tight lid.
The flasher group does well and out a lot.

Yeah, I was thinking about a rabbit fish but if I get a fish, I want to keep it permanently. Though I heard hawk fish have fun little personalities. The long nose one looks really funny.

Ok, cool. But small question, how deep does the sand have to be. Or could I put a container with sand and it'll be fine. Thanks!

I know how that is, but understand it may come down to one or the other. Everybody happy is the ideal, but sometimes there are issues. And sometimes, they just go psycho. And you goddess/God, have the power/responsibilty of who stays and who goes. Happy reefing!

At least 1”, many like to hide.
Container with sand….Ive not tried that but it makes good sense.
They pick the sand bed as well, so is a food source.

55 gal is pretty good size but you should decide what kind of types saltwater tank you set or choose and my advised you should search first before you buy for your tank, If you really like enjoy watching your clownfish you must have an anemone (probably already you have ), If your tank already stable your coral all healthy, I would say to buy a lemon sailfin. , and Ruby red Dragonet
