What I Ordered vs What I Got

Thats about right. With that said I wish the vendors would take pics under white, blue and mixture. At least you have a chance to see what your are getting.

Well, they’re both kinda pretty!

This corals look fine. I mean, they aren’t fluorescent, but give them a couple weeks and they will color up. They definitely aren’t dying. Stuff browns out during shipping and when changing tanks. I just kinda expect this. It could be fun to tell your kids to watch and be patient as they color up.

Now, the prices on the other hand.....birds nest is a giveaway around my parts. Cool coral, but it has nearly zero value.

Corals.com
What I ordered vs what I got vs now. There are still some places that keep it real

Corals.com is my to go place. I've been more than satisfied with the corals I have gotten from them. I cannot recommend then enough. If you ask me, prices as very reasonable as well.

btw they have a sale going on right now.

The corals are healthy, and are great as far as that goes, but not the colors that were represented. Assuming they do color up, a thread like this would be able to prove that with "update" pictures and so on... I still say we need a thread that shows "what I Ordered vs What I Got.

I have no large issue with WWC, however I absolutely hate their model of sky high website pricing to give the feeling of a deal for ebay and live sales. I have ordered from WWC quite a few times over the years via ebay and honestly of all the big vendors I have personally been the most disappointed with WWC when they arrive. Healthy corals no doubt, but 'meh' compared to pics. FWIW I have never had corals from other vendors like battlecorals or unique corals (please UC don't go to the live sale model!) brown out in shipping. I hate to even post this response because of what a big deal WWC is in the reef world and their great partnership with BRS, however the above is just my personal experience.

Cultivated reef does an excellent job of representing their livestock as well.this was a 5.00 door buster too! Sorry my Picts are super blue. We need to come up with a new saying...don’t shop the shoppers!! For real I just want everyone to be successful and for us to get what we paid for

If it makes you feel any better I have a similar problem with a lfs, and that's seeing their corals in person. They have an impossible to replicate lighting system that brings out all sorts of color I can't replicate. I stopped buying from them and only buy from places that display their coral under realistic lighting.

Want to know more about said lighting, please. :)

I feel like every order I have at least 1 or 2 that don’t looks like the picture, and Ive order from many different place... went on a little bit of a coral binge for a couple months.

I feel your pain. But to be fair a360we kessils , especially with a color setting above 30% and purple plus bulbs are about the best way to get poor and brown colors with sps.
try running the kessils as blue you can still look at it + use (mostly) blue+ and (less) coral+ or actinic bulbs. Then accept that kessils are not for sps color & get a decent light:)

Yeah i would just wait a while they should 'come to life' soon when they get comfortable.

Point taken on the super white setting, but I'm not 100% with you on the lighting being the problem.

My kessils run as blue as they'll go in the am, white during mid day, and blue again for pm. The t-5's are dimmable, and not much more than moonlight for the am and pm settings.

For what its worth, I see fantastic colors all day on most specimens. Additionally, there is ZERO blue on the turbinaria, no matter what light i hit it with.

Here is a pic taken just for this post (full white), and there is color-o-plenty for most of my frags. Oh, and just for the fun of it, I challenge you to find that blue heron!

I have a hard time swallowing $39.99 for a Kenya tree + $39 shipping. I give Kenya Trees away for free to local reefers.
