Hi All,

All SPS doing good and growing
Is this new growth ? I started to see gray like point in this acro it’s like something ate (there is nothing in tank to eat this like this)

Only think in my mind snails fly from mp40 and hit this acro have damage tips?

Just to show as growth rate I add very close milleopora growth between 15 May and 15 June also for reference

Not 100% sure but this spot looks similar to a flatworm, possibly just the picture? Do you dip all your coral?

Hi,

I do dip..should I remove this and dip again? Or wait and see for a while

I hate touching SPS for wrong alarms and let them have stress but seems like flatworm thing you right..

Have lazy six line maybe.. btw nothing new coral introduced recently this is with me for 3 months maybe

Not sure but I understand the dilemma. That would be a tough call. I would most likely dip it if it’s not fully encrusted, does that white rock it’s sitting on detach from the main rock structure? Thankfully I’ve never had a coral pest outbreak (yet) but I hear they are awful. I try to avoid any pest, especially on Acros. The 6-line should help so maybe giving it time is also a perfectly viable option as well.

Diped nothing came out other then amphipods etc

But I believe this is STN When I remove frag I see back side more damage

STN can jump to from coral to coral?
Because I had new tenuis frag STN I cut it then frag also almost die this is new 3 weeks ago bought I didn’t care so much as not all corals would live when we buy

Any advice?

Parametres good and stable for months
Temp fix, it is not new frag that would have burn from LED and it was growing very good covered frag plug already

Couple of weeks ago I moved stylophora a little next to pikachu downwards maybe it irritated at night , there is also sponge growth under rock I do not believe it would make an acro unhappy

So we do what we can today
Remove stylophora away , dip the coral (nothing harmful) , rotate for better light penetration

Let’s see how it goes

How close is it to the MP40?

I really think that STN/RTN are bacterial or viral infections. They both usually work from top or bottom or vice-verse rather than just in a spot like you have here. The small location of the damage makes me think something like a nearby coral's sweepers, a pump that's too direct, or something along those lines.

You've either had a swing (usually alk) or some other fluctuation, or possibly a depletion (Cal, nutrients, etc).

No swing nothing unusual guys about parameters etc

No STN continue signs today as my experience it will continue everyday and fleshes flying near edges I do not observe

I believe we have fixed the issue by moving near stylopora
