What is the one thing you could have done better in 2023

As the year closes, throughout a given year, we try new products and concepts. One is the one thing(s) you could have done better this year but vow to do better in 2024?

I plan to get rid of the home depot shut off valve and get the one from BRS as it is so hard to turn the handle when needed.

I should’ve tested more and dealt with cyano right in the beginning. I paid the price and learned an expensive lesson.

I should have spent more time shopping for softies. The softies in there are growing quite quickly and I need to fill in sooner.

Also I should have fixed my lights faster. Had some led and t5 issues I should have addressed much more quickly

This is something I'm terrible at. I always end up breaking branches off and messing stuff up.

I plan to start forcing myself to take a weekly full tank picture for my records to help with cause/effect analysis if/when something starts looking a bit "off".

So far I've been bad with that and it's a struggle to try to remember when something might have been showing initial signs of an issue and trying to link that with any changes,,, etc.

Thinking about doing a re start on my red sea max 260. Tank looks like poo (to me anyway) and not full of corals as it used to be since they all became unhappy and I cant figure out whats going on. Would love to make it a reef again!

Should have kept on top of my water changes and done more documentation as I added and moved things.
Non-reefing... should have focused more at work and less on reefing

Same... I had to replace due to failing seams and I was so frustrated by the current situation it didn't even occur to me to go bigger.

And on the other hand- I had a chance to leave the hobby when it came time to replace my tank. My wife and friends convinced me to stay. After all the headaches I have been through since the replacement I really regret not taking a break and coming back in maybe a year or two. I have been completely consumed by little problems and I feel like it's taken too much out of my already busy life.
