Got it as a blue velvet Nudibranch from my lfs, but it looks nothing like a nudi. Can anyone id it? It is cool and velvet looking.

My guess, Velvet snail, like a Coriocella nigra.

Sweet, looks like that’s exactly what it is! Thank you for the help! Anyone know if it’s reef safe and/or if it may release toxins if it dies?

It’s super cool looking!

That’s a beautiful snail. Never seen one for sale. And I don’t even know what they eat! But I’d also like one.

YW, I remember seeing one at a fish store many moons ago but still had to look it up again. I was told back then that they were difficult to keep alive and after a quick research I see why. It looks like they feed exclusively on tunicates. Looks like you're in for a challenge. Please post about what ever happens for the accumulated knowledge.

Read this stocking advice awhile ago and have followed it ever since: If it is something you have never seen or heard of before, then there's probably good reason for it ie. hard to keep.
